Experiment and get creative with different media, from collage to oils or watercolour, to bring your ideas to life. This Creative Mixed Media course gives you the chance to explore the different media genres and get experience in a variety of areas. Whether you're an experienced artist or just starting out,
This course is the perfect way to dive into a fun, experimental, and expressive form of art. In this course, you’ll discover how to combine different materials, techniques, and textures to create truly unique works of art!
Get creative with mixed media using various mediums such as gum Arabic with watercolour, acrylic, collage and various drawing media. Some print media such as Gelli or Lino, might be used in conjunction with painting. NB. Although watercolour techniques can be touched upon, this is not primarily a watercolour course. Please see our website for details of Watercolour courses on offer at Sutton College.
This course is open to all levels. Additional information Observational drawing is part of the course. For your First lesson bring HB & 2B pencils, Acrylic and watercolour paints, Brushes, Palette & cartridge paper. Different papers will be discussed. As you progress with the course, students and tutor can discuss other materials such as different types of paint, surfaces and mediums, which can be obtained for your personal development.
