This course helps SEND adult learners develop practical English skills for everyday life.

It focuses on building confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in a supportive and inclusive environment.

The aim is to help learners communicate more effectively in social, work, and community settings. Lessons are designed to be interactive and engaging, using real-life situations to make learning meaningful.
* Speaking and listening skills for everyday conversations
* Reading signs, forms, and simple texts used in daily life
* Writing short messages, forms, and personal information
* Basic spelling, punctuation, and grammar for practical use
* Understanding and following spoken and written instructions
* Communicating in different situations, such as at the doctor’s, shopping, and using public transport

Additional information
Learners will be encouraged to practice English at home using simple exercises.
The course includes practical, real-life activities such as role-playing conversations and reading useful materials.
Teaching will be adapted to different learning styles, ensuring that every learner can progress at their own pace.
This course will help learners gain confidence in using English for everyday life and work.
This is an entry-level course, designed for SEND adult learners who want to improve their everyday English skills.
No formal qualifications are required.
The course is fully accessible, with visual aids, simplified instructions, and multi-sensory learning activities to support different learning needs.
Learners do not need advanced reading or writing skills—support will be available based on individual needs.
