Floristry is a wonderful craft. Take this short course and achieve an Entry Level qualification just for having fun and stimulating your senses.

On this short 3 session course you will learn to use tools and equipment suitable for creating beautiful tied designs using accessories. This can be the first step into a career in floristry.

Following this course you can book on to the NCFE level 1 course then progress to higher levels if you so choose. Either way you are guaranteed to have fun with flowers and develop practical skills that you can show off.

ALL PLANT MATERIALS AND CONTAINERS NEEDED ARE INCLUDED IN THE COURSE FEE.
The course will cover a wide range of underpinning knowledge including;

- Cut flower carebotanical names
- General design principles
- Health & Safety

This is the last of a suite: entry level 1, 2 and 3.

Across the 3 courses you will have built the confidence and competence to move up to level 1 and beyond.

This course also covers an introduction to British Values (learning aim 6033398)
This is an Entry Level course.

You do not need any qualifications or experience in floristry to join.

You do need some curiosity and the motivation to try.

This course is a qualification therefore you must attend all sessions and you must complete a short workbook demonstrating what you have learned, including costing of your designs.

Photographs must support this., If you have already completed a Creative Craft qualification at this level you cannot be funded again regardless of the subject you intend to learn.

Additional information:
- What you need to bring: Apron, Small towel, Camera, Carrier to take your designs home.

You will need a floristry tool kit containing the basic tools for floristry.
You have the option of purchasing a competitively priced tool kit through the college.
Further information about this will be given to you once you have enrolled.
Fully funded learners will be provided with a tool kit for the duration of the course.

For your Course Approval session, you need to:

  • Bring accepted ID in the form of either a UK passport or printout of your e-visa showing residency status
  • Bring proof of benefit dated within the last 3 months or most recent payslip /tax return if claiming the concessionary fee
  • Ensure you meet all previous educational requirements to attend this course
  • Bring copies of previous exam certificates
