Introduction to Beauty & Personal Presentation (SEND) – Autumn introduces learners with SEND to basic beauty routines and personal presentation skills. The course focuses on helping learners understand how personal care and presentation can support confidence, wellbeing, and everyday independence.

Through practical activities and demonstrations, learners will explore simple beauty techniques and personal grooming routines in a supportive environment. The course encourages learners to develop self confidence while learning skills that can be used in daily life.
Learners will explore a range of topics related to personal care and presentation, including:

Personal Grooming & Hygiene
Learners will explore routines that support good personal hygiene and personal care.

Basic Beauty Skills
Learners will practise simple beauty activities such as basic skincare, nail care, and simple grooming techniques.

Self Care & Wellbeing
Learners will discuss how self care routines can support wellbeing and confidence.

Personal Presentation
Learners will explore how clothing, grooming, and presentation can support positive self image.

Confidence & Social Interaction
Activities will encourage learners to build confidence and feel comfortable presenting themselves in social situations.

Health & Safety
Learners will understand safe use of basic beauty tools and products.
This course is designed for learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities who would like to develop confidence in personal care and presentation.

No previous beauty experience is required. However, basic English and maths skills are recommended to help learners follow instructions and take part in activities.

Learners should be willing to participate in practical activities in a supportive learning environment. Staff will provide appropriate support to ensure all learners can engage and develop their confidence and skills.
