Maths – Everyday Maths – SEND

Recognising and using numbers in daily life
Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division for practical tasks
Understanding money, budgeting, and shopping calculations
Reading timetables and understanding time-related maths
Measuring for cooking, DIY, and household tasks
Interpreting basic graphs, charts, and information
Problem-solving in real-life situations

Additional information
Learners will be encouraged to practice simple maths tasks at home to build confidence.
Lessons will be interactive, using practical examples and real-life scenarios to make learning meaningful.
Teaching will be adapted to different learning styles, ensuring that every learner progresses at their own pace.
This course will help learners develop independence in managing everyday maths tasks at home, in the community, and at work.

This is an entry-level course, designed for SEND adult learners who want to improve their everyday maths skills.
No prior maths knowledge is required.

The course is fully accessible, with visual aids, hands-on activities, and simplified instructions to support different learning needs.

Learners do not need advanced reading or writing skills—support will be provided as needed.
