Photography (SEND) introduces learners to the creative and practical skills involved in taking photographs. The course encourages learners to explore their surroundings, capture images, and express their ideas through photography in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Learners will develop confidence using cameras or digital devices while learning how to take interesting and creative photographs. The course focuses on creativity, observation, and developing basic digital skills while encouraging learners to share their work and ideas with others.
Introduction to Cameras & Devices
Learners will learn how to use cameras or digital devices to take photographs.
Basic Photography Techniques
Learners will practise simple techniques such as framing, focus, and capturing clear images.
Exploring Light & Angles
Learners will experiment with lighting, angles, and perspectives to create interesting photographs.
Creative Photography Projects
Learners will take part in themed photography tasks that encourage creativity and observation.
Editing & Selecting Photos
Learners will explore simple ways to review, select, and improve their photographs using digital tools.
Sharing & Presenting Work
Learners will be encouraged to share their photographs with the group and discuss their creative ideas.
This course is suitable for adult SEND learners who are interested in photography and creative expression. No previous photography experience is required. Basic English and digital skills may be helpful for following instructions and using devices, but support will be provided to ensure all learners can participate and develop their confidence.
