Jewellery Workshop – Enamel Artistry – Pendant Making

In our well-equipped bespoke workshop with guidance from a supportive tutor, you will learn how to safely and confidently use enamelling tools, materials and processes.
You will explore a range of techniques including:
* Applying liquid enamels for painterly or textured effects
* Using flux on steel and copper
* Grinding and wet-packing opaque enamels for smooth, rich finishes
* Building layers of colour to create depth
* Adding personalised patterns, textures or marks
* Firing enamel in a kiln to achieve a durable glass surface
Working step-by-step, you will enamel a selection of metal shapes, experimenting with colour, pattern and surface effects.
You will finish the workshop with a small collection of unique pendants ready to be hung on chains, cords or used as decorative components in your jewellery designs.

This course is ideal for complete beginners as well as experienced jewellers looking to add an exciting new process to their skillset.
No previous experience of enamelling is required.
A basic ability to follow simple instructions and confidence with safe workshop practices is helpful, but full guidance will be provided.

Additional information:
Bring a notebook and writing tool of your choice.
Bring an apron if you have one, there are a few spare ones in the workshop.
Bring any lace or patterned paper or other material you might like to imprint onto your metal.
Copper and silver is included in the price.
