Discover the versatile world of Jesmonite, a material known for its plaster-like strength and porcelain-like finish.

Within this you’ll learn how to create contemporary jewellery using Jesmonite, exploring colour, texture and form through mould-making and casting techniques.
What You will be Learning

• An introduction to Jesmonite and its unique properties in jewellery and design.
• How to create custom silicone moulds for casting.
• Techniques for adding colour, marbling and texture to your designs.
• The casting process, including mixing, pouring and setting Jesmonite.
• Finishing and polishing techniques for a smooth, professional look.

By the end of the session, you’ll have your own jesmonite pendant and earrings , along with the valuable skills in silversmithing and sustainable forming!
This course is aimed at those with beginner experience of jewellery hand tools and experienced jewellers who want an interesting new project.
No qualifications are needed, only a basic knowledge of the safe use of jewellery hand tools and the ability to follow simple instructions.

Additional information:
Bring a notebook and writing tool of your choice.
Bring an apron if you have one, there are a few spare ones in the workshop.
Bring any lace or patterned paper or other material you might like to imprint onto your metal.
Copper and silver is included in the price of this course.
