This enjoyable short course will help you gain the practical skills needed to grow in confidence using your DSLR camera and all its functions.
You will deepen your knowledge of techniques and complete a photographic project to gain your qualification.
Following this course you can book on to the Photography Level 1 Award (NCFE) if you so choose.
This can help you progress into a career in photography or simply be an enjoyable hobby.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have already completed a Creative Craft qualification at this level you cannot be funded again regardless of the subject you intend to learn.

* Understanding and using a range of photographic design principles of increasing complexity
* Selecting from chosen materials to create crafted photographic images using a DSLR camera
* Working safely and effectively with materials, tools and equipment
Learning Aim: Z0011145 - This course will also include guidance on using Google Classroom as part of your learning experience. You will learn how to access course information, communicate and collaborate with fellow learners, submit assignments, and receive feedback from your tutor.

This is an Entry Level course.
You will need to be working at Entry Level 3 in your English skills to access the learning and complete the assessment tasks required.
If you do not achieve Entry Level 3 in your English Skills Builder Assessment you must have a UK English Entry Level 2 qualification or above. You will be asked to provide your certificates during the Course Approval Assessment.
This course is a qualification therefore you must attend all sessions and complete all assessment tasks to the required standard including a workbook demonstrating what you have learned.
Additional information:
You must have your own DSLR camera.
Please bring a pen and paper to your class. Ensure you are wearing comfortable and appropriate clothing and footwear for a practical craft course.
