The Advice Service at Sutton College



The Sutton College Advice Service offers confidential and impartial advice & guidance to help you plan your future learning and work.

The Advice service can help you to:

  • decide on suitable career direction with career choices, action planning and progression routes.
  • get advice about new learning options, vocational training and updating skills, that are right for you.
  • gain information about Labour Market opportunities.
  • create and tailor your CV to suitable employment (fees apply if you are not a learner at Sutton College).

The Advice service will:

  • work with the National Careers Service to facilitate independent advice for all
  • support you throughout your learning journey by providing careers information and guidance, and supporting progression
  • help you develop career management skills, and raise awareness of future career options

We can also help with advice if your job or career has been affected by the Covid-19 situation too.

Progression

Progression is the route you plan to take through education and into employment.


The National Careers Service

The National Careers Service provides impartial information, advice and guidance that will help you make decisions on learning, training and work opportunities.

Sutton College has a dedicated member of the National Careers Service on site each Wednesday during term time.
