Practical, workshop based courses prove popular each year and many students have learnt skills and methods from our expert tutors that they have carried into their working and home lives.

Popular subjects such as DIY Home Improvements and Woodwork, enable you to learn the basics of DIY and undertake simple projects at home. Our tutors are all specialist in their field whether it be through running their own business or simply years of on-the-job industry experience.  They will introduce you to courses that include woodworking with hand tools and power tools as well as DIY Home Improvements. Whichever course you choose, Sutton College, aims to build your confidence in dealing with both simple and complex craft tasks.

Expert tutors provide advice and guidance on individual projects and they will introduce you to planning your activities safely and increase your awareness of the requirements, when aiming for a professional style of finish in your chosen projects.

Our purposefully designed workshop at the main Sutton centre provides the ideal setting to learn, practice and make use of specialist equipment.
