Apprenticeships

Sutton Collegbe Apprenticeship Training

How do Apprenticeships work?

Apprenticeship programmes are a combination of assessment in the workplace and college-based/work-based learning. Apprenticeships can be tailored to your organisation, ensuring the course is specific to your needs. If you are working but wish to continue your education then Apprenticeships could be the ideal route for you. They will offer you a combination of practical skills with theoretical knowledge, helping you to gain a nationally recognised qualification.

On the job, you’ll work as an employee, alongside experienced staff members. Off the job, you’ll learn with Sutton College through a combination of learning methods that may include: day release at college and assessments in your workplace.

What apprenticeships are available through The Apprenticeship Centre at Sutton College?

The Apprenticeship Centre at Sutton College offers a range of apprenticeships, including Business Administration, Customer Services and Health & Social Care.

Health & Social Care

A Health & Social Care apprenticeship will be a suitable pathway for those seeking a career in social care, for example as a care worker, support and outreach worker, domiciliary care worker, supervisor and senior care worker. It will also be suitable for existing staff within the sector who want to further develop their knowledge and skills. People who successfully complete a Health & Social Care apprenticeship are most likely to be those who show an empathy, care and interest in others.

Business Administration

The Business Administration programmes give individuals the skills and knowledge they will need to succeed. The Level 2 programme suits those working in an administration environment whose work is supervised by a senior colleague and covers aspects of communication and managing personal performance as well as producing business documents.

Level 3 is suitable for those with more responsibility and covers team management, business principles and leading and managing meetings.
