An experienced team of Adult Care tutors deliver Level 2 & 3 courses. We have strong links with local care organisations and have seen our learner’s progress from an initial interest all the way through to finding voluntary and paid placements in the industry.

First Aid courses continue to be popular amongst all industry professionals, as a way of not only acknowledging work-place responsibilities of staff Health and Safety, but also as part of the increasing skills set required by all Health Care specialists, be it working in care homes/play centres. Whether you work in a primary school, an entertainment venue, or as an independent Nanny, Sutton College are able to support you in gaining a recognised First Aid certificate. Courses are also run as part of our Family Learning offer, enabling families to access this important training together.

Sutton College’s Beauty department prides itself on having subject specialist tutors, who maintain current Industry knowledge, skills and practices, enabling students to acquire full Industry compliant skills and qualifications.

Our Beauty courses range from Entry Level through to Level 3 qualifications in the Hair & Beauty Sector, suitable for students looking to acquire Industry recognised qualifications.  To fully prepare you with the skills required we offer a Study Skills for Beauty Course to help support you with skills in how to complete your assignments, how to complete your client consultation forms, alongside help to understand the terminology used within the qualification. The Study Skills programme is ideal for learners who are new to the Beauty area (particularly ESOL students or those students who require support with general English Language skills and/or digital skills) and those who feel they may need support in developing skills to write assignments. We recommend that all students who are new to the Beauty area enrol on our Study Skills for Beauty course.
