Join us for our free information sessions!

Sutton College is providing free enrichment sessions for students to enhance your learning experience.
These sessions are provided by local groups and cover a variety of subjects ranging from fire safety to hate crime.

Feel-good Pilates Basics for Wellbeing

Wednesday 17th March 12.30pm-1.15pm

Find out how the Pilates can help you to gently mobilise joints and stretch under-used muscles, improve posture and alignment too. Session includes seated, standing and floor work.
Please wear comfortable clothing, use a mat/towel and have a bottle of water to hand.



Scam Awareness

Family Learning – Maths Strategies

Monday 29th March, 7pm-8:30pm

Children are taught different maths methods at school to help them work out the answers in different ways. This workshop allows parents to become aware of the different maths strategies their child uses.



Family Learning – Fantastic Phonics

Tuesday 30th March, 7pm-8:30pm

Phonics teaches children how to decode letters into their sounds, a skill that is essential for them to read unfamiliar words by themselves. This workshop allows parents to become aware of how children learn phonics at school and how they can engage and support this learning at home.

Enrichment - walking

Walks When Restrictions Permit: Merton, Carshalton & Kingston

Thursday 11th February, 1.15pm-2pm

A session designed to inspire you to explore our local area (when restrictions allow), with information on wonderful local walks through Merton Abbey Mills, Merton Park and Beddington Park to keep you physical and mentally fit.



Staying Safe Online

As part of safer internet day, Sutton College delivered a free session on Staying Safe Online. A recording of the session can be viewed above.

 


The local fire brigade will be delivering advice and training on general fire safety in the home.

This is a FREE information session for all to attend. There will be 2 sessions:

  • Sutton Centre on Tuesday 25th February from 12pm – 1pm
  • Wallington Centre on Wednesday 26th February from 12pm – 1pm.



Stop Hate Uk will be delivering free information session on Hate Crime.

  • Sutton Centre on Wednesday 18th March from 11:30am – 12:30pm
