City and Guilds endorsed Book-Keeping, Computerised Accounts and Manual & Computerised Accounts (Payroll) courses at various levels are offered, enabling students to add marketable skills to their CV, or upskill existing ones in order to apply successfully for promotion opportunities or track their own small company accounts. Most of these are offered in a short and intensive style, mirroring the fast pace of the industry.
We are also an approved Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) training provider, offering the full suite of courses from the introductory Accounting Level 1 Access Award in Business Skills, right through to the internationally recognised AAT Level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting.
Our Accounting Level 1 Access Award in Business Skills course provides a good grounding for those taking their first steps on the career ladder. The Level 2 Certificate AAT can be looked at as an accounting entry-level option, providing a solid base in finance administration including double entry bookkeeping, basic costing principles and using accounting software.
On an AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting course, you will study units including Indirect Tax, Spreadsheet Software and Professional Ethics with Level 4 covering elements such as Financial Statements and Budgeting.
With the rise of social media as an important and influential means of communication, our Diploma in Multimedia Journalism is essential! This course led by an industry professional who has worked internationally, will equip the potential journalist with the skills and experiences to enter the world of Media or PR. Tutors on this course are all practising professionals with Gold Standard experiences to share.
Sutton College offers daytime and evening AAT, City & Guilds, and NCTJ courses both daytime and evening. Students can be expected to attend classes from as little as twice a week to full-time and up to 2 years depending on the course level and guided learning hours.
