Loans for Level 3 and Above

Aged 19 or over? Discover a new and easy way to pay your course fees

The Advanced Learner Loan offered by the Government aims to help take the financial stress away from study by allowing students to apply for a loan to cover the tuition fee, similar to that which is available in higher education. It allows adults to access financial support to improve their qualifications and therefore improve job and life prospects.

Any UK resident aged 19 or over who enrols with us onto an eligible level 3 or higher course, can apply for a Government funded loan. This will be paid directly to the College on your behalf via the Student Loans Company. This means that students will not have to pay the course fee upfront. There may still be some charges for registration with awarding bodies, exam fees and material that will need to be paid.

Students will only start to repay the loan once they have left the course and are earning over £25,000. The loans are not means tested or subject to credit checks and are available irrespective of the learner’s current employment status.

Applying for these loans is very easy with a simple application form online, details of which can be provided once you have been approved for the course of your choice.

The Advanced Learning Loans are for anyone who is:

  • aged 19 and above at the start of their course
  • Studying a Level 3 or higher course that is eligible for a loan
  • Resident in the UK
  • Has not previously had a loan to do the same type of qualification.

To study a level 3 or higher course you will need to apply and take part in an assessment. This will enable us to assess your suitability for the course, as well as giving you the chance to find out more about the loan process.
