General Information

Would you like to be able to communicate with deaf friends or family in British Sign Language (BSL)? On this workshop, you and your child will learn some basic British Sign Language. The course is ideal for those who have no current knowledge of British Sign Language.

What will I learn on this course?

You will learn the following:

Greetings and starting a conversation.

Finger spelling names and sign names.

Family members e.g Mum and Dad 

Other useful everyday words

What level is this course & what skills do I need?

This course is suitable for families with no current knowledge of British Sign Language

Is a course approval interview/assessment required? 

No

On this course, you will develop the following life skills: 

Confidence building 

Social Wellbeing
