General Information

Floristry is a great choice for a creative activity that gets you in touch with the natural environment. In the interest of being involved in the way forward, which is sustainability, we want to show you how you can enjoy this art form in a way that does not negatively impact the environment.

Come and join us at Sutton college where we will show you how to make a floral table arrangement without using floral foam or other non biodegradable materials.

All plant material and sundries are included in this course.

What will I learn on this course?

You will learn about different types of plant material, how to choose plant material relevant to your designs, how to care for plant material, their availability and special characteristics. You also will learn some principles of design.

Do I need any skills for this course?

This course is suitable for complete beginners. You should be able to follow simple instructions.

Additional information

All materials and sundries will be provided on this course.

You should bring:

An apron

A small towel

Floristry scissors

A receptacle to take home your design

Wear sensible closed toed shoes
