Get Creative With Art & Craft Projects - Enrichment - Summer (LLDD)

Course Information

Learning Aim: Z0002105

Building on the skills learnt in the previous two courses, you will now be given the opportunity to create either individually or with others, a new project of your own!

Using class discussions and research exploration with your tutor, you will continue to develop creative ideas, and the focus will be to bring together all the skills and experiences you have gained through working with colours, shapes and textures.

You will explore arts, crafts and artefacts from different countries, cultures and religions. You will be able to choose your own area of interest and create a range of art works that celebrates diversity.

At the end of the course, you will be invited to display your work, and present it as part of the college’s exciting end of year exhibition.

Purpose of Course 

You will discuss and agree a short design brief with your tutor.

You will plan, research and create a mood board for your ideas.

You will collect recycled materials and images to use as part of the project

You will create and display your artwork as part of the college end of year exhibition.

On this course, you will develop the following life skills:

Confidence building 

What level is this course & what skills do I need?

Improvers. This course is for those who have taken both the autumn and spring courses. You can also join the course if you have previous experience from another course.

Is a course approval interview/assessment required? 

Yes 

To be considered for a place on this course, you are required to attend a Course Approval session to ensure this course is suitable for you. You may be asked to complete a test/tests.

Additional information

Wear clothes that you feel comfortable in, and bring a bottle of drinking water.
