Do you enjoy taking photographs already and would you like to learn how to take better photographs? Or are you a complete beginner and would like to learn a new range of photography skills?

,

This is a fun, practical class where you will get to try out lots of different skills from using a digital camera, setting up shots and lighting as well as exploring image editing on a computer.

,

Purpose of Course 

,

Overall aim of the course is to develop skills for using a digital camera in order to take good photographs as well as to develop an understanding of photography as a means of visual communication.

,

By the end of the college year you will learn how to focus and frame your subject as well as identify camera functions that control exposure and white balance.

,

We will also explore a range of examples and ideas to do with photography to increase your understanding of the subject as well as create projects using the interests of the class as a guide.

Please note that there will be visits outside of the college and the opportunity to exhibit your work at the end of the year.
