Course Information

Learning Aim: Z0002102

This class is all about further improvement in your ability to support your own and others physical and mental health. To join this class you will need to have taken part in the autumn and spring sessions. You will be expected to lead on some of the exercises as well as bring your own ideas to the class to share with your peers. Seated exercises improve physical health and wellbeing, as well as boosting confidence. This is an opportunity to continue your own development and wellbeing. 

Purpose of Course 

Demonstrate to others the benefits of seated exercise. 

Support others in seated exercises and suggesting ways of own and their development.

Support others to develop their skills and self-esteem.

On this course, you will develop the following skills:

Mental Wellbeing

Social Wellbeing

English Skills

Confidence building

What level is this course & what skills do I need?

This course is for anyone who has attended the previous two courses. Those who use a wheelchair or walking frame are actively encouraged to join, whether they have attended previous courses or not. You should be able to follow instructions.

Is a course approval interview/assessment required? 

Yes

To be considered for a place on this course, you are required to attend a Course Approval session to ensure this course is suitable for you. You may be asked to complete a test/tests.

Additional information

Learners will need to wear suitable clothing and bring a bottle of water.
