Thanks to the support from Reach PLC, Sutton College is offering two funded places on their fast-track NCTJ Diploma in Journalism course.
The brand-new course, based at the adult education college’s campus in Wallington in south London, will run for 18 weeks from January 2020.
The fast-paced course will equip students with the cutting-edge skills and knowledge to thrive in a digital newsroom by achieving the NCTJ diploma qualification.
Reach PLC is seeking bursary applicants who are local, can’t afford the training and bring diversity to the newsroom.
Course fees of £3,950 will be paid for by the bursary from the Journalism Diversity Fund.

Please apply for a place on the course by emailing Roy Lee roylee@suttoncollege.ac.uk and sending a 350-word statement of interest by 5pm on Friday 17 January 2020.
In your statement of interest, you should include why you want to be a journalist, your career aspirations, how you would bring diversity to a newsroom and any relevant journalism experience you may have had. Please also include your previous education.
Applicants will be asked to come to the college for a course approval session and will be asked to complete the NCTJ approved entrance test.
