Sutton College High Achievement & Satisfaction Rates

Sutton College continues its strong position as a leader in the adult education field, obtaining achievement rates above the national averages.

A maintained College of the London borough of Sutton, the College focuses on providing programmes and opportunities for learning and personal development for the local communities of Sutton. With approximately 7000 students per year attending over 1200 courses, the College has been running for nearly 45 years.

88% of students achieved their external accreditations in the year 16/17 and the College is proud of its 97% retention on courses.

Sutton College runs part-time and evening courses for adults ranging from qualifications to courses designed to further personal skills, wellbeing and development ranging from accounting to exercise and craft. There were also nearly 250 apprenticeships run through the College last year.

Local Councillors and MPs attended an event at the College last month to reiterate the position of the College, the partnerships it has formed with local organisations and how funded courses are mapped to local needs.

98% of Sutton College students rate the teaching they receive as ‘Excellent or Good’ and 95% would recommend the College to others. With these statistics, it is clear why the College remains the leading provider of adult education in the Borough.
