SCOLA’s Principal, Saboohi Famili, and Deputy Head of Learning Area, Chris Jackson, will be attending the Jisc Technology Innovation and Success event on 28/03/14. The aim of the day is to clarify the challenges facing learning providers and share good practice that leads to solutions in the adult and WBL context. The idea is that delegates go away with ideas and agreed actions that will help them in their own work.
Chris Jackson will be presenting to a large group of practitioners from London colleges – entitled “IT is the Golden Thread” – to show the problems SCOLA was faced with 12-18 months ago, what we have done to overcome them, plans we have in place, and some other items we are exploring. These are based on our new Google based Extranet (aka the Intranet), plans for a Google based Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and other IT software and programmes which, taken together, will enhance our learners experience of studying at SCOLA.
