Coffee & Cake Morning Raises Money for Cancer Research UK

Students and staff attended a bustling charity coffee and cake morning yesterday at the College.

Organised to raise funds for Cancer Research UK, staff donated cakes to be sold to raise donations. There were several homemade (delicious) cakes including a showstopper centrepiece made by data analyst Lisa Springgay whose cakes are always a hit with those lucky enough to taste them (see main image below). Other staff kindly bought in cupcakes and treats to be sold and in total over £200 was raised.

This money will go directly to Cancer Research UK who fund ‘pioneering discovery research – from anywhere in the world, into any type of cancer. We back brand new ideas from world-class scientists that could change the course of cancer research’.
